Born and raised in the San Franciso Bay area, Ingrid knew from the age of 12 that she wanted to be a dentist. Her overwhelming desire to "work with people and help them" kept her focused on the path to that career. Along the way to dentistry school she earned a bachelor's degree in Chemistry from San Francisco State University, taught in their graduate program, traveled throughout Europe, even working as a translator for a large manufacturing firm in Germany. Ingrid has also been a fashion model, TV commercial spokesperson, martial arts instructor and self-defense demonstrator.

Upon graduation from the University of the Pacfic Dental School in San Franciso, Dr. Ingrid Wright built a highly-successful dental practice in Central California. Working with a team of 9 staff members, she cared for patients ranging in age from 3 months to 93 years. "It was very rewarding to build a dental practice from the ground up. It was also extremely gratifying to help so many people overcome their anxiety regarding dental care."

After 13 years of dental practice, Ingrid felt a "higher calling" to be a full-time wife and 'mommy'. Now, with her children in their teens and her husband having a successful career as an orthodontist, she now has the time to get excited about creating her art. In addition, Ingrid has resumed her acting and modeling career. She recently appeared in the Alicia Keys music video, Superwoman. Perhaps you'll be seeing her in the movies and on television in the very near future.

Quick to point out that she has no formal art degrees, Ingrid was drawn to creating her beautiful pieces of artwork after taking some private art lessons. She feels passionate about further developing her artistic abilities. (FOR MORE INFORMATION READ "ABOUT"MY ARTWORK" )

Since discovering the beauty of pastel paintings in 2004, Ingrid Wright's artwork has been displayed and featured at various festivals and other locations in the Temecula Valley. Ingrid has been elected as President of the Temecula Valley Art League for 2006-2007.

With works found in both corporate and private collections in California, Ingrid Wright is represented by THE ARCHIVES OF ESCONDIDO GALLERY in Escondido, California. Ingrid's work can also be found at THE OLD TOWN GALLERY in Temecula, California as well as on display and for sale at the New Covenant Bookstore in Murrieta. Ingrid was also rnamed the featured artist in June with a "solo exhibiiton" at the Temecula Valley Library.
